Lonely Planet Ukraine

Lonely Planet Ukraine

Special traveller updates. This edition was published in May 2014. Due to the dramatic changes that have taken place in Ukraine since this book was sent to the printer (the Euromaidan protests and the annexation of Crimea), we have produced a special update for travellers, as an addendum for the guidebook. You can download it. Big, diverse and largely undiscovered, Ukraine is one of Europe’s last genuine travel frontiers, a poor nation rich in colourful tradition, warm-hearted people and off-the-map experiences. Lonely Planet will get you to the heart of Ukraine, with amazing travel experiences and the best planning advice: Inspirational images, destination highlights, city walks and recommendations from our expert authors Planning features and top itineraries to help you plan the perfect trip Local secrets and hidden travel gems that will make your trip unique PLUS a guide to visiting Chornobyl, Ukraine’s highlights in colour, a rundown on Ukraine’s cuisine, and features on visual arts and local culture Coverage includes: Planning chapters, Kyiv, Central Ukraine, Lviv, Western Ukraine, The Carpathians, Odesa, Southern Ukraine, Crimea, Eastern Ukraine, Understand and Survival chapters.
